Buket is a 2nd generation Fuggle and offspring of Northern Brewer. It was first bred in the Zalec region of Slovenia in the mid 1970’s alongside Bobek and Blisk. Inspiration for all three of these hops was down to attempts by researchers to create both high alpha and good aroma in one cultivar. It has not been used to any great extent commercially since its creation.
