Amallia

Native to New Mexico, Amallia is a neomexicana varietal with a deeply earthy aroma and pronounced flavors of orange citrus. Bold and unique, it is considered well suited to brown or dark ales for both bittering and aroma. This variety was being trialed in Michigan by Michigan State University researchers in 2014.
